Maggie Snow joined the PMI Wichita Board of Directors as the Vice President of Membership/Marketing in 2017. After serving a successful two year term, she was elected to serve as the President of the PMI Wichita Chapter in 2019.
A Michigander by birth, she graduated from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan with a Bachelors Degree in 2006 and a Masters Degree in 2008. She also holds additional certifications in Public Administration (CMU), Nonprofit Management (Wichita State University) and Healthcare IT Workflow Management and Training (Hutchinson Community College).
Maggie began her career in the nonprofit world, getting introduced to Project Management through a trial by fire that involved managing multiple ongoing projects without any real project management training. Her proudest moment was managing a Smithsonian traveling exhibit and supporting activities in 2012 that required partnerships with multiple stakeholders and supporters from the community. She then transitioned to a Banking Software company, where she served as an Accidental Project Manager by providing Education, Training and Go Live support for new client implementations. During her time in the Banking Software vertical, she managed educational projects, operational audits for clients and numerous internal process improvement projects. It was during this time she was introduced to PMI and to the PMI Wichita Chapter, where she did all she could to learn about the field of Project Management.
Maggie is now an Implementation Project Manager at InfoSync Services in Wichita, Kansas, a Financial Services company that offers clients in various industries business solutions they need so that they can focus on running their core business, not on running their administrative tasks. She thrives on being the bridge between customers and the business SME's and IT specialists to deliver clean transitions for all stakeholders, and has a goal of being requested by clients to run additional projects for them.
Maggie is also devoted to expanding the profile of PMI Wichita, and using her experiences to show businesses why Project Management is important, and matching future Project Managers with great employers.
Maggie is currently on her PMP Journey and hopes to attain certification as a PMP before July 2020.
