Joe Charleston

Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering (BSEE) with a Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) certification. In his career, Joe has focused on project management in the electrical field, working as an independent contractor, as well as CNH, Direct Energy and FW Murphy.  Joe has been a part of the PMI Wichita Chapter for several years, volunterring as an instructor for the PMP-CAPM Prep-Class, being a speaker for the monthly meetings, and becoming a part of the Board of Directors working on the Programs team.  As a professional with a passion for employee engagement, who brings to the table a global perspective, interpersonal skills, leadership skills and diversified set of experiences, Joe energizes the chapter.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the Programs VP revolve around the coordinating and hosting of the PMI Wichita monthly meetings. Coordinating with a speaker, securing a venue, setting up the event for registrations, setting the room, and hosting the members. In addition to the monthly Chapter meetings, this office coordinates Networking events, Lunch and Learns, and International PM Day.   This office is also a support to the Education VP as they coordinate the Profesionall Development Day each fall.
