PMI Hardship Provision
PMI recognizes that times are tough for everyone right now. We wanted to let you know that PMI is here to help members renew their PMI national and chapter membership if your financial situation has been impacted.
Under the PMI Hardship Provision, a PMI member can apply to have their membership renewed if their financial condition has changed drastically and sufficiently so that a member would have difficulty renewing their membership. A member must be in good standing for at least three previous years to qualify for the hardship provision.
Under this provision, a member is granted a waiver for one year of PMI membership dues and one year of dues for membership in any two PMI Chapters of which the applicant was a member the previous year. The Hardship Provision may be granted for a maximum of two years for each member. Please note that this provision must be applied for prior to the membership expiration date.
You must contact PMI directly to apply for the Hardship Provision. To apply or for additional information, reach out to PMI via their Contact Page.
As a reminder, any incorrect or untrue statements made by a member are in violation of the PMI Member Ethical Standards-Member Standards of Conduct and may lead to the initiation of an ethics complaint in accordance with the PMI Member Ethics Case Procedures.
Grow Your Skills
It is particularly important for Project Managers to maintain and improve their project management knowledge and skills to stay competitive in the market. PMP certification is a critical component. As, during the resent years, project management discipline took a step toward more flexible and dynamic project management methodologies, in addition to the traditional waterfall approach, several new emerging methodologies became in high demand. Thus, training and credentialing in these methodologies became highly sough after among Project Management professionals. It is especially relevant in today's economic climate.
