This month we will host Lacy Litton, MBA, CBAP, PMP, share her BA experience with us.

Lacy has been with Koch Business Solutions, LP for the last five years serving in a Business Systems Analyst role. Lacy spent the previous 18 years in various roles within the information technology department at Sedgwick County, including desktop support, project management and business analysis. In addition, she has selflessly invested in PMI Wichita Chapter's community as a volunteer and board member.

One of the top reasons projects fail can be traced back to inadequate, vague, or even missing requirements. This is where a strong business analyst comes in to help you make your project successful. PMI recognized the importance of businesss analysts so much, they created the certification path for business analysts. As stated in the PMBOK® Guide - Sixth Edition, "A project will have a higher likelihood of being successful if project managers and business analyst fully understand each other's roles and responsibilities to successfully achieve proejct objectives." In this session, we will take a look at the business analyst role and what they can do to help make the project a success, especially in an agile environment.
