PMI's research is clear: project professionals who fully adopt M.O.R.E. see significantly stronger project success, yet only a small percentage consistently apply all four elements.
PMI also makes an important distinction: knowing what to do and being able to do it in complex, real-world conditions are two different things. Building capability through practice is part of closing that gap.
But capability is only part of the picture.
In this virtual Lunch & Learn, Vicky Cleary, PMP, takes the next step by exploring the role capacity plays in our ability to apply M.O.R.E. consistently when the demands increase.
Your capacity determines how much of your knowledge, skill, and potential you can actually access when the pressure is on.
We will explore:
- The difference between capability and capacity, and why both matter
- The five capacities that support how we recover, perform, lead, decide, and create
- How capacity can become constrained, even when you know what to do
- How different M.O.R.E. practices place different demands on the project professional
- A practical tool for identifying what a practice requires from you, what may be getting in the way, and the right next step
You will leave with a clearer understanding of what it takes to apply M.O.R.E. in the real world, along with a practical way to assess and build the capacity needed to put the practices into action.
This session offers a complementary perspective to the M.O.R.E. research introduced in the previous sessions in this series; attendance at prior sessions is not required.
This virtual event is open to PMI members and non-members, both locally and beyond.
